It is the main place of memory of the blessed Rosario Angelo Livatino, magistrate and martyr, guarded and preserved in its total integrity and become a symbolic place of justice and faith. The property is located in viale Regina Margherita 166, in the heart of Canicattì.

In this house Rosario Olivatino, wisely guided in his growth, lived in the company of his beloved parents until the tragic September 21, 1990. Little Rosario’s bedroom gradually became the study where the upright magistrate continued and deepened the study of the delicate acts in the serenity of his home, far from prying eyes and ears. Today that Study Room seems to still await his return.

In 2010, upon the death of Dr. Vincenzo Livatino, the house, at his request, was inherited by Giuseppina, the current owner and faithful family collaborator. The choice of the heir of the Livatino house fell precisely on the one who had already lived in those environments for years in the company of the Livatino spouses and who had learned to love and care for them.

The beatification of May 9, 2021 elevates Rosario Angelo Livatino to the honors of the altars as the first blessed magistrate, with the consequent increase in visits and interest in the House Museum. And in 2015, the Superintendence of Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Agrigento decreed the family home of Judge Rosario Livatino and the movable assets kept therein of historical, artistic, architectural and ethno-anthropological interest of particular importance as a combination of architectural value and precious testimony of historical memory and socio-political events characterizing the territory of Agrigento and its province.

In 2020, the House Museum was fully accepted among the homes belonging to the national association Case della memoria, which projected it into a circuit of house museums with branches throughout Europe and involved in numerous initiatives at a national level.
